Changes

• Forms 1099: Expanded Forms 1099 reporting requirements for payments to corporate service providers (All ERs)
• Uniform Coverage Explanation: Uniform Coverage Explanation Document and 60 day ADVANCE notice of any material change not reflected in the most recent uniform explanation (All plans & insurers)
• Reporting quality of care: Group plans and insurers must report annually to HHS and participants regarding plan benefits that improve quality of care (All plans & insurers)

Employer Checklist

• No later than 3/23/12, distribute Uniform Coverage Explanation of Coverage to employees AND notify employees 60 days in advance of material changes
• Report to HHS and participants plan benefits that improve quality of care (annual requirement)
• Meet expanded Forms 1099 requirement for payments for corporate service providers
